JET’s Amazon lockers deal is proving a big hit with dealers and their customers

In May this year, JET announced that it is working with Amazon, a global leader in online retailing, to make Amazon’s outdoor parcel lockers available to JET dealers across the brand’s 350+ site network. As part of JET’s dealer package, existing JET dealers are able to sign up to have Amazon Lockers installed at a convenient location on their site (subject to a site survey).

How it works

The concept behind Amazon Lockers is very simple: instead of requesting Amazon deliveries to go to a home or business address, customers can select an Amazon Locker at the time of placing their order and pick up – or return – the parcel at a convenient time. Customers no longer risk missing a delivery and their parcel will remain safely stored until they use a unique pick-up code to access the locker.

A big hit

Chris Cundall of JET’s Chidswell Service Station explains why he thinks the lockers deliver benefits for both customers and JET dealers: “The Amazon Lockers are proving very popular with our customers. I think it’s the fact that people can pick up their ordered items at a time and place that suits them which makes them a big hit.”
